His debut release on the new label, entitled “Unpredictable”, became a surprise hit peaking at No. The rapper subsequently signed with Master P’s No Limit Records in 1996 in a co-agreement with Jive Records. “Precise” Edwards, the album showcased Mystikal’s intense lyrical speed, and raw approach to rap delivery. The album was in large part a retaliation to Cash Money Records’ rappers U.N.L.V., Lil Wayne and B.G., whom he had developed a feud with. With major-label backing the rapper built on the success of his debut by issuing the full-length “Mind of Mystikal” in October 1996. Making an early name for himself with the release of his eponymously-titled debut in 1995, Mystikal subsequently inked a deal with Jive Records.
